Aggravated DUI Arrest Near Rand Rd and Thomas St, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver 11:28 PM Sunday near Rand Road and Thomas Street, Arlington Heights, IL. Fernando Cabezas, 37, of the 1300 block of North Baldwin in Palatine, was arrested with multiple charges related to DUI and was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. Cabeza’s black 2006 Buick Rendevous was towed to a police holding area.

The driver was observed speeding southeastbound on Rand Road. Cabezas was also observed swerving in lanes.

During the traffic stop in the left turn lane into the Target parking lot, police observed an open bottle of Corona in the back seat — and also in the front passenger area. A 12-pack of Corona was also inside the vehicle. Open bottles were also discovered on the floor in the driver’s area of the vehicle.

His driver’s license was revoked from a previous conviction in 2009 and he was charged with the following …
