Moderate Thunderstorms, Light Rain Overnight for Chicagoland

Light to moderate thunderstorm covering the area from the southwest to the northeast will affect the Chicago area. Some lightning and thunder is expected until about midnight.

Rain is expected to continue until about 6:00 a.m. The air temperature is expected to drop from about 60°F to about 40°F at about 7:00 a.m.

Thunder and rain arriving about 5:00 p.m. Less than one-quarter inch is expected overnight.

No Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been activated as of 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Heavy rain is in the outlook for Wednesday and Thursday.
