Charges against an Elvis impersonator from Mississippi who was accused of sending ricin-laced letters to the President and others have been dropped. Paul Kevin Curtis was released from custody, while the home of a second man was searched.

Paul Kevin Curtis, 45, was arrested last week for allegedly sending the threatening letters contaminated with Ricin to President Barack Obama, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, and a Mississippi county judge. But Curtis has been released from custody amid signs that the case are dismissed.

Investigators were next focusing on James Everett Dutschke, a 41-year-old Tupelo man with whom Curtis has feuded.

Ricin is a natural protein in Castor Beans that can be concentrated or weaponized, and is especially fatal by inhalation.
