Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:47 AM Wednesday to the report of a strong chemical smell or sewer smell at Pace Bus, 550 West Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighters received a report that a strong chemical odor or sewer smell existed especially on the south and southeast area of the property.
Firefighters confirmed a “sewer type smell” along Golf Road from the Rolling Meadows border to the Mount Prospect border and south to at least Interstate 90.
Police and firefighter/paramedics also received a report of a strong odor from the 2400 block of South Arlington Heights Road.
Public works is also responding to the scene.
