Elk Grove Village Home Burglarized While Residents Were Away from House on Oakton St for Only 15 Minutes

Elk Grove Village police responded about 6:00 PM Saturday to a residential burglary that ‘just occurred’ in the block of 100 Oakton Street Elk Grove Village, IL. Police received a report that residents left their home for only 15 minutes and returned and found the back door forcibly entered. The residents saw that the house was ransacked and left and called police.

Police searched the home and discovered that it was clear of any offenders. Police set up a perimeter to search the neighborhood and a K-9 unit for tracking. No suspects were found in the neighborhood.

No description was immediately available.
