Charred Body Found Where Ex-Cop Christopher Dorner Believed To Be Barricaded in San Bernardino, California Mountain Cabin

A spokeswoman for the San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Department says a body was found in a cabin that burned down on Tuesday. Forensic tests will be done to determine if the body is that of fugitive ex-police officer Christopher Dorner.

Charred human remains have been discovered inside a mountain cabin in San Bernardino, however police investigators have not yet entered because the scene is still hot and smoldering with live ammunition remaining inside the cabin.

Los Angeles Police resources were on standby at San Bernardino airport while San Bernardino County Sheriff police led the operation.

FEB 03 2012 — Monica Quan, 28, and her fiance, Keith Lawrence, 27, shot to death in their car in the parking structure condominium complex in Irvine, California. Monica Quan’s father, a retired LAPD captain, was involved in the review process that ultimately led to Dorner’s dismissal from the police force.

FEB 06 2013 ~10:30 PM — Christopher Dorner believed to have attempted to steal a 47-foot boat from the Southwestern Yacht Club in Point Loma. The boat hijacking attempt failed when a boat became tangled; the victim said the suspect had spoken of wanting to flee to Mexico.

FEB 07 2013 1:45 AM — Two LAPD officer involved in a shootout while assigned to security detail protecting a person mentioned in an online manifesto believed to be published by Dorner.

FEB 07 2013 1:46 AM — Two Riverside police officers ambushed in their squad car while they waited at a stoplight. One killed, one seriously injured.

FEB 07 2013 ~2:00 AM — A citizen reported finding, near Lindbergh Field, property belonging Christopher Dorner — a briefcase and Dorner’s LAPD badge.

FEB 07 2013 ~5:20 AM — Mistaken shootings.

FEB 07 2013 — Burning pickup truck discovered — believed to be linked to Dorner.

FEB 12 2013 ~12:22 PM — Report of man fitting Dorner’s description hijacks truck — tells owner of truck he doesn’t want to hurt him.

FEB 12 2013 ~1:20 PM — Police converge on a cabin after Dorner was engaged in shootout in the Angelus Oaks area. One San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy killed, one deputy seriously injured.

LAW ENFORCEMENT SOURCES: Police had broken down windows, pumped in tear gas and blasted a loud speaker urging Dorner to surrender. When they got no response, police deployed a vehicle to rip down the walls of the cabin “one by one, like peeling an onion.”
