Ranked first in having the most attacks on humans, sharks, however, do not prefer human prey because we’re too bony. Since 1990, there have been a total of 139 unprovoked great white shark attacks, 29 fatal.
In December 2005 in waters off Hawaii, shark conservationist, Jimmy Hall, reported and documented his personal encounter with a very large great white shark, nicknamed Schatzi. The encounter received worldwide attention as there was no aggression. J. Hall was at first cautious, but later swam with this shark without cage protection and touched it repeatedly while filming the encounter simultaneously
