Flu Response: Northwest Community Hospital Establishes Temporary Visitation Policy Restricting Visitors Under 12

Due to an increase of flu in the community, anyone under the age of 12 is not allowed to visit patients at Northwest Community Hospital.

The temporary change to the visitation policy at Northwest Community Hospital is reported to be for the well-being of patients and staff members.

Additionally, the hospital asks all visitors above the age of 12 to ask themselves the following questions:

• Do you have a fever?

• Do you have a cough?

• Do you have a sore throat?

• Do you have a runny or stuffy nose?

• Have you been exposed to anyone with the flu in the last 3 days?

If you answered YES to any of the questions, please visit only when you have recovered from your symptoms.
