Witnesses Report Woman Down, Kicked in Face at Shopping Center Near Arlington Heights Rd and Palatine Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 10:01 PM Monday to a disturbance in the parking lot in front of Jo-Ann Fabrics, 373 East Palatine Road. Police received a report that a male offender was kicking a female who was down on the ground in front of Jo-Ann Fabrics.

The offender was described as a male/black 5’7″ about 18 or 19-years-old, wearing all black clothing. He ran in a northeast direction toward the AT&T store. Two witnesses reported the woman was kicked in the face.

The victim was described as a female/white or female/Hispanic wearing a blue jacket, blue pants, and white boots. She ran west toward Dominick’s.

Police found the female victim (in her 30’s)about 12:37 p.m. in front of Dominick’s, but she indicated she did not want any assistance and did not want to press charges. Paramedics were called to check on facial injuries that were suffered by the victim.
