Palatine police responded about 2:46 PM Friday to a report of a two retail theft suspects detained at one at large at Walmart, 1555 North Rand Road. Police received a report that two females were detained and one male fled. The fleeing subject was described as a male/white in his 20′s with shaggy hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The subject is alleged to have taken diet medication and hidden the product under his shirt. About 45 minutes later the offender at large turned himself in at the Walmart store.
