Two Arrested After Detectives, K-9 Unit Work on Traffic Stop on Waverly Road, Just East of Chestnut Avenue, Arlington Heights

Several police units on the scene of a traffic stop on Waverly Road, just east of Chestnut Avenue.

Arlington Heights police responded about 5:30 PM Wednesday to assist detectives on a traffic stop at between Waverly Road and Brookwood Drive and Waverly Road and Chestnut Avenue. Several police cars blocked Waverly Road from Evergreen Avenue to Chestnut Avenue until about 6:15 p.m.

Elk Grove Village K-9 assisted on a “sniff” of a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Two subjects were transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. No word on charges or citations.
