Mount Prospect police responded about 8:05 AM Tuesday of a retail theft of food at Dominick’s, 1042 South Elmhurst Road. Police received a report that a person just stole five packages of shrimp.
Police received a report that the woman fled in a getaway car that was parked outside. The vehicle was described as a silver or white late model Mercedes Benz with a dent on the rear passenger side. The vehicle was last seen headed southbound on Elmhurst Road. The car was driven by a dark-skinned male.
The offender was described as a female/black, 30-40 years-old wearing a dark coat.
Police searched the area, but did not see the vehicle.
