Schaumburg police responded about 11:18 AM Saturday to an armed robbery 2337 John Rolfe Drive Schaumburg, il Police received a report of an armed robbery by a man with a knife wearing a white shirt with a red bird on the front. The ‘victim’ reported the ‘offender’ took the woman’s wallet containing cash.

The victim reported that the offender might have fled behind a 7-ELEVEN or a Hispanic grocery store nearby. An Extra Value wine & Liquor store is also located nearby.

The ‘offender’ was described as a male/white in his 30′s or 40′s with blond hair shaved on the side with a mohawk, wearing a white T-shirt with a Cardinal logo on the shirt, jeans and combat boots that covered his shins.

The ‘offender’ was reported to be armed with a pocket knife about four inches long.

A black wrist type wallet was reported taken with about $247 cash, a child’s social security card, a LINK card and other cards.

Police apparently learned that the report was false and transported the woman in custody to Schaumburg Police Department Headquarters.

Arlington Heights police assisted with a K-9 search. Hoffman Estate police and Streamwood police also assisted Schaumburg police.
