Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:29 AM Saturday to a report of a smoke in filling the basement in the 100 block of North School Street. Police arrived first on the scene and reported smoke coming out of all windows. Mount Prospect firefighters reported smoke showing upon arrival. A working fire response (Code 4)was requested at about 4:39 a.m. The fire was reported extinguished at about 5:03 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters responded to another fire at about 5:41 a.m. at Colony Apartments on South Cannon Drive in Mount Prospect.
