Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:00 AM Wednesday of a vehicle burglary in the 800 block of East Shady Way. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders punched out the passenger side door lock on a white 2002 Chevy Express van, entered the vehicle and removed tools with a value of over $1,000. The tools included at Milwaukee sawzall, Milwaukee right angle drill and a Dewalt cordless drill.
The vehicle was parked in an apartment parking lot.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. A red 1998 Ford Econoline E350 work van and a white 2003 Ford Econoline work van were also burglarized in the area during the same time period.
