Injury Crash During Heavy Rain at Rand Rd and Hicks Rd, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:15 PM Monday to a crash with injuries at Rand Road and Hicks Road. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that people were trapped in the vehicle and that one child was on the ground near the crash. The crash occurred during a rain storm.

First firefighters on the scene reported a crash with heavy damage in the northbound lanes, just south of Rand Road. Firefighter/paramedics on arrival immediately called for a second ambulance

At least two victims were transported to hospitals. One victim was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
