Two Bike Thefts on North Haddow Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report of bike thefts from the driveway by the garage in the 1300 block of North Haddow Avenue. Police received a report that a red and black Trek mountain bike with a red lion’s head valued at $100 was stolen, and a 20-inch boy’s black and red BMX X-Games bicycle with a red ‘X’ on the seat valued at $200 was stolen.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Four suspicious juveniles were reported in the area of Frederick and Hickory at about 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 (the night before). When police arrived, the youths fled into backyards on Beverly Avenue between Frederick and Oakton Street. A severe thunderstorm caused the search to terminate. Initially two juveniles were reported to be apparently violating curfew. The juveniles were described as a male/white subject with a white baseball cap tilted to the side and a female/white about 15-years-old that appeared intoxicated and staggering. The two juveniles met two addition male juveniles in the area of Frederick Street near Haddow Avenue.
