Retail Theft Suspect at Carson’s Threatens Loss Prevention that He Has Gun While Fleeing

Mount Prospect police responded about 4:22 PM Friday to a report that a retail theft suspect fled the Carson Pirie Scott store, 1025 Center Drive. Police received a report that the suspect threatened store security that he had a gun and that he would shoot them while he was pursued on foot into the parking lot.

The offender was described as a male/black with a muscular build and tattoos up the arms wearing a black shirt and shorts.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a gold or beige sedan and the license was partially given as H 75. The vehicle was last seen eastbound through the parking lot.

Merchandise was recovered in the parking lot as the suspender apparently dropped merchandise while fleeing.
