Palatine police received a report about 3:45 a.m. Tuesday that an attempted burglary to vehicle ‘just occurred’ in the 800 block of South Carriageway. Police received a report that a car owner heard a car alarm go off. The victim’s vehicle parked on the driveway had its lights activated.
At least one offender ran away from the vehicle, and headed northbound toward Revere. The offenders attempted to break into two vehicles — a black Acura TL sedan and a black Jeep Liberty.
