Massive solar flares are contributing to a spectacular light show in the skies above central Minnesota. Time-lapse photography captures an aurora borealis display north of St. Cloud.

The last twilight after sunset darkens after 11:00 p.m. in St. Cloud, Minnesota. This Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) display began just before midnight and lasted for about 30 minutes.
