Schaumburg police responded about 2:15 p.m. Sunday to an armed robbery at the TCF Bank, 2501 West Schaumburg inside a Jewel-Osco store. An early report was that a gun was displayed and cash was taken. A later report was that a gun was implied.
One or both offenders fled out the entrance door on the west side of the strip mall building.
The first subject described as a male/black in his 20′s wearing a white or yellow baseball hat and a gray long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans. A second subject was wearing a black T-shirt and a hat.
There was a previous armed robbery attempt in Hoffman Estates and an actual armed robbery in Bartlett prior to the Schaumburg armed robbery.
The FBI was called in on the investigation.
