Vehicle Burglary in Progress Call on Ellington Drive, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 7:20 p.m. Sunday to a report of a vehicle burglary in the neighborhood of the 200 block of Ellington Drive. Police received a report that a man came home and found an offender rummaging through his vehicle. There was confusion where the crime and/or the victim were located. The police were also called to the area of Schaumburg Road and Salem Drive.

The offender was described as a male/white, about 17-years-old with black, wavy hair, wearing a white T-shirt and dark or black jeans. The offender fled in a blue Chevelle. The victim chased the offender in his car, and police learned that the crime may have occurred more than an estimated 10 minutes or more prior to the call.
