Schaumburg police received a report about 1:45 a.m. Saturday of a vehicle burglary in progress behind the McDonald’s at the northwest corner of Roselle Road and Weathersfield Way. Police received a report that two men were attempting to break into a Maytag truck.
The offenders were described as a male/Hispanic wearing long black, baggy shorts, unknown shirt; and a second male with unknown description. The offenders were scene leaving the vehicle. The caller did not give a vehicle description for the offenders’ vehicle and hung up on the 9-1-1 call taker.
Schaumburg police arrived within one minute, found the Maytag truck, but no subjects were near the vehicle.
The Maytag truck did not appear to show signs of forcible entry.
Police stopped one vehicle in the area to investigate the driver and passengers, but there was no word on any arrest or charges.
