‘Child Shoots Driver’s Car with Pellet Gun’ on Appletree, Arlington Heights; ‘Parents of Kid Threaten Driver’

Arlington Heights police responded about 10:57 a.m. Sunday to a report that a child was shooting a black, long-barreled pellet gun at passing cars in the 0-99 block of East Appletree Lane. A pellet shot hit one of the cars, and the driver stopped and asked the child to get his parents. The driver reported that the mother and father came outside and threatened the driver, and the driver left the scene.

The child was described as a male/white, elementary school-aged child.
