Power Outage: Northbound Kennicott Ave Closed at Dundee Rd for Downed Power Line

Arlington Heights firefighters responded about 12:05 p.m. Monday to a down power line in the 3600 block of North Kennicott Avenue. Firefighters reported a pole-to-pole line was down, called for Com Ed to respond, and asked for police to close Kennicott Avenue north of Dundee Road.

A power outage affected several businesses in the area. Com Ed estimated time of arrival to the scene was one hour. Com Ed was busy across Chicagoland with downed power lines.

A National Weather Service Wind Advisory is in effect until 6:00 p.m. Monday.
