Schaumburg police were in a foot pursuit about 9:37 p.m. Monday after following a stolen automobile southbound on Meacham Road — starting at about California Street. Police reported that at least three suspects bailed from the stolen auto on Biesterfield Road, east of Meacham Road at Home Avenue. The driver of the stolen auto hit a tree, but police reported there are no injuries.

One of the suspects was apprehended at Christa Court south of Adolph Link Elementary School and south of Biesterfield Road.

One suspect — possibly the driver — was initially reported still at large. He was described as a male/black in his mid-20’s, wearing tan pants and a black shirt. Police later reported they had two suspects in custody near the crashed car at Biesterfield and Home Avenue. All three suspects are apparently in custody — not confirmed.

Eastbound Biesterfield Road was blocked at Meacham at about 9:45 p.m. until the scene was secured.
