Elk Grove Village police responded about 12:51 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a disturbance or threat, possibly involving a weapon, in the 800 block of Pahl Drive. The residence is located just north of Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Police made telephone contact with a man who was alone in a townhouse by about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. The man agreed to walk out the front door of the residence with his hands locked behind his head. He was in custody by about 1:21 p.m. Police searched and recovered a weapon and possibly a second weapon — not confirmed. The residence was secured by police by about 1:25 p.m.
One adult male was transported in custody to Elk Grove Village Headquarters.
