Chicagoland: Upcoming Week’s Forecast 60’s and 70’s; Normal Highs Are Mid-40’s

#ad▼

After a chilly Friday and a chilly overnight to Saturday, a long stretch of unseasonably warm weather more like late April or May than mid-March. 70’s are forecast for Wednesday, March 14, 2012.

Mainly clear skies and light winds under strong high pressure will provide a cold night tonight, with lows dipping into the mid and upper 20s, and around 30°F in downtown Chicago. The strong high will slide quickly to the east on Saturday, resulting in strong southwest winds, which will transport in a much milder air mass, aided by full sunshine. Temperatures will get progressively warmer through mid week followed by a cold front passage late Wednesday. Even after the front passes, temperatures are expected to be higher than normal — in the 60’s.
