Police departments in the northwest suburbs are experiencing an increase in crash incidents with over 50 crashes between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Friday. Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg and Arlington Heights were on the accident plan or Emergency Traffic Plan. Buffalo Grove and Elk Grove Village went on their Emergency Traffic Plans a little later. The crashes listed, for a great majority, do not include a large number of crashes that were reported in police stations, where accident victims relocated to complete their accident reports — as directed during the Emergency Traffic Plans.

Palatine at 6:48 p.m. — Crash at Rand and Dundee Road involving multiple vehicles in the intersection.
Palatine at 6:41 p.m. — Personal injury pin-in crash at Quentin Road and Lake Cook Road with person trapped in a four-door sedan. Palatine Fire Department and Lake Zurich Fire-Rescue on the scene. Updated no entrapment.
Mount Prospect at 6:37 p.m. — Hit-and-run personal injury crash at Golf and See-Gwun. The offending vehicle is reported as a black or dark blue Chrysler 300 or other sedan, last seen northbound on See-Gwun with expected damage on front and passenger side with tan or beige paint transfer from the victim vehicle. Incident updated to property damage-only crash.
Buffalo Grove at 6:17 p.m. — Property damage crash at Meridian School, 2195 Brandywyn involving a snow plow vs. a Volvo.
Schaumburg at 6:11 p.m. — Property damage crash at westbound Schaumburg Road and Knollwood.
Palatine at 6:11 p.m. — Property damage crash at Euclid Avenue and Quentin Road with vehicles not drivable.
Rolling Meadows at 5:46 p.m. — Personal injury crash on southbound Route 53 north of Algonquin Road involving a vehicle vs. a pole with air bag deployment. Reported no injuries.
Schaumburg at 5:22 p.m. — Property damage crash on Plum Grove near Algonquin Road involving a vehicle vs. a curb with the wheel/tire bent.
Prospect Heights at 5:14 p.m. — Crash at Milwaukee Road and River Road with one vehicle off the road into the grass.
Palatine at 5:00 p.m. — Personal injury head-on crash with one vehicle in a ditch and into a tree and Northwest Highway and Dundee Road. A light pole also knocked over. Corrected address to Northwest Highway and Arbor.
Elk Grove Village at 4:58 p.m. — Property damage crash northbound Busse at Howard involving a Ford Expedition that slid off the road and hit a pole.
