Tri-State Road Hazard: Naked Woman Stops Traffic Southbound I-294 at Roosevelt Rd, Oak Brook

Police audio while during foot pursuit and custody of woman who was stopping traffic and running down southbound I-294 on Valentine’s Day.

Oak Brook Terrace police, Oak Brook firefighter/paramedics and other rescuers responded about 11:01 a.m. Tuesday to a road hazard and EMS medical call on southbound I-294 and Roosevelt Road.

The woman was spotted without clothes stopping traffic and then was chased while running down southbound I-294 near the Roosevelt Road bridge. She was taken into custody within a minute or two of being discovered. Police immediately called for paramedics, who were already dispatched.

District 15 Illinois State Police and the IDOT maintenance truck also responded to the scene.
