  1. failed to mention the drivers headlights where off. This is not a just article. how fast was she really going, because telling us that the speed limit was 40 doesn’t mean anything. And where was he on the “four lane road”. He was in walking on the median. Nice job reporters

  2. ‘austin’: You failed to mention how you know the headlights were off. Therefore, nobody can place any confidence in your statement. Was someone with the victim when he was hit? If you were with the victim, did you report this to the police? If you were with the victim, did you see that the woman was driving over the speed limit? The Cardinal is not really sure what this means: “He was in walking on the median. Nice job reporters” The Cardinal thinks you are trying to speak English, but the sentence is not structured properly, and it has no period. Therefore, The Cardinal isn’t sure you were even finished with your comment. Did you fall asleep? … Decide you’d rather watch TV? Maybe your attention span was limited, and you switched to XBox or PlayStation. Anyway, The Cardinal will try to answer. Reporters can only report what they know, or what people answer. This isn’t court. There’s no benefit of calling people to the witness stand and having them testify under oath. It’s a breaking news report that was reported within minutes and hours of the incident. It gives people some facts to build with additional information as it develops. We don’t bother distraught family members or distraught friends. The police have to do enough of this with their investigation. Sometimes police report all the charges and details, and sometimes for sensitivity reasons, they keep some details under wraps. As reporters, we hope civilized people that don’t have ‘gotcha’ attitudes, and dependable sources will come forward with information, or answer questions when the time is right. The comment section is here for people to contribute helpful information. Austin, you’re welcome to give it a try again, with some reliable sources. But if you want to use the comments section to show how uneducated you are, or show how you lack logical thinking processes and knowledge of the importance of reliable sources, that’s fine too. It gives all readers a sense of understanding of some of the negative, spiteful loser attitudes there are in society.
