House and Two Garages Burn on Martin Ln, Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:59 a.m. Thursday to a report of a house fire in the 2100 block of Martin Lane. After police were dispatched they reported they could see the fire while responding from the hospital. Rolling Meadows firefighter upgraded the call to a Code 4 (working fire with mutual aid from Arlington Heights and Palatine Rural firefighters) while en route to the fire after seeing smoke during the response.

Firefighters arrived within three minutes, searched the home, and stopped the fire about 11:18 a.m.

One person with minor burns was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.

  1. To bad the whole story was not posted about the fire on Martin Ln. The first to arrive were a couple of RM public works guys and a passer by. These gents alerted the residents to their burning garage and helped them escape from a bedroom window. Just thought that should have been included in the story.
