Arlington Heights police responded about 8:06 p.m. Monday to a report of a scam and possible ruse burglary attempt in the 1100 block of South Walnut Avenue. Police received a report that two male subjects claiming to be from Com Ed attempted to get a resident out of the house. The resident refused to fall for their Com Ed scam, and the males walked away from the house.

The suspects were described as a male/Hispanic 5’11 thin build, and a male/white in his 20’s who was shorter than the male/Hispanic subject, also with a thin build. Clothing descriptions were not available for either subject.
