Catalytic Converter Stolen from Vehicle Parked in Parking Garage at Eastman and Evergreen, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report of theft of vehicle parts in the Village of Arlington Heights parking garage at 155 E. Eastman Street. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders used a saw to remove the catalytic converter from a blue 2000 Mercedes-Benz ML320. The catalytic converter has a replacement value of about $1,500.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 5:00pm and Thursday February 16, 2012 at 10:00am. Police were notified on February 21, 2012.

Arlington Heights police also received a report that a catalytic converter was stolen from a parking garage at 85 West Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights on December 22, 2011.


Elk Grove Village police took several reports in November and December 2011 of catalytic converters stolen from vehicles and fleet vehicles parked in commercial parking lots.
