A PGA Tour Superstore and Xsport Fitness are scheduled to move into the former Great Indoors store location at Golf Road and Meacham Road in Schaumburg.
The PGA Tour Superstore is planning to open its doors in about three months in the taking about 60,000 square feet of the 136,000-square-foot former Great Indoors building.
Xsport Fitness is planning to open in about one year after extensive buildout renovations to about 45,000 square feet, which will probably include an indoor swimming pool. The size of the Xsport is about the same size as the Xsport North facility on West Dundee Road in Arlington Heights.
Underground parking, which already exists, at the building is expected to be a plus for people working out during cold and snowy months. The fitness market is competitive in the area with an LA Fitness on Meacham Road, just to the next lot south, and a LIFETIME FITNESS on Higgins Road about four blocks south and east.
