Working On Off-Duty Cop’s Car, Mechanic Calls for Help to Get Out of Handcuffs in Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 3:54 p.m. Monday to a report that a mechanic was working on an off-duty police officer’s vehicle and was checking out the handcuffs, when he put himself in custody — so to speak. The mechanic, working at a south side automotive business, got himself stuck in the cuffs and called Schaumburg police for help.
