Two Teens Arrested After Aiming BB Guns Toward Houses from Bike Path Near Bernard, Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police responded about 10:45 a.m. Sunday to a report of two teens with BB guns aiming at a residence in the 600 block of Bernard Drive. Police received a report that the teens were aiming the BB guns at the backyard of a residence from the bike/walking path.

Police drew their guns on the path about one-quarter mile south of Bernard, but confirmed that the two 17-year-old males were carrying BB guns. Both subjects were transported in custody to Buffalo Grove Police Department Headquarters. The youths said they were shooting at squirrels. Both were turned over to their parents. Juvenile police officer is scheduled to follow up with the teens.
