Palatine police responded about 2:35 p.m. Monday to a report of a theft in the parking lot of Walmart, 1555 North Rand Road. A woman was loading her groceries into her vehicle and when she turned back to where her purse was located, the purse was gone.
The purse was described as a black leather strap purse.
