Car Fire in Streets of Woodfield Parking Garage, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about responded about 9:00 p.m. Sunday to a car fire on the third floor of the Streets of Woodfield parking garage, 601 North Martingale Road.

Police arrived first and reported the vehicle was well-involved with fire.

Firefighters had a line on the fire by about 9:07 p.m. Fire in a parking garage are more difficult to reach because fire engines don’t fit in the parking garage with a clearance about 6’7″.

The fire was mostly extinguished by about 9:10 p.m.
