Palatine police responded about 5:46 p.m. Monday to a report of a burglary in progress in the 1400 block of Ports O’ Call Drive. Police received a report that a resident arrived home to find multiple doors open, and then a subject fleeing the apartment. A language barrier existed between the victim and the 9-1-1 center, and no description of the subject was available.
Elk Grove Village police assisted Palatine police with a K-9 unit for tracking of the suspect. No word on any police contact with the suspect.
