Palatine police responded about 3:34 p.m. Saturday to a report of retail theft in progress at Walmart, 1555 North Rand Road, Palatine. Two suspects were reported leaving the store with DVDs and medications without paying. Police also received a report that a vehicle was waiting for the two subjects.
One of the offenders was described as a male/black with a black jacket, gray backpack, blue jeans heading out of the store running. He is reported to have dropped the backpack and run along the back of Walmart and headed toward McDonald’s. The apparent getaway car left the exit near U-Haul on Dundee Road. Police reported they were out with five male/black subjects.
