Rain and thunder is creeping toward the northwest suburbs of Chicago Wednesday night.

Tonight: Showers. Low around 44. Breezy, with a north northeast wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Breezy, with a northeast wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
