Arlington Heights police responded about 4:25 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a fight in progress in the street near the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Dryden. Police received a report that a male and female were fighting. The fight broke up before police arrived. The male subject got in a gray Jeep Cherokee and headed northbound on Dryden, while the female walked eastbound on Euclid Avenue.

An alert police officer southbound on Dryden from Oakton Street stopped the Jeep while it was still northbound in about the 800 block of North Dryden. The driver was discovered to be driving on a licensed revoked because of a DUI. The driver was arrested and his Jeep Cherokee was towed to a police holding area.

The male/driver fought police en route to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. No injuries were reported.
