Arlington Heights police received a report about 10:49 a.m. Wednesday of criminal damage to vehicle and attempted burglary in the 700 block of East Northwest Highway. Police received a report that an offender or offenders tried to break into a truck with a hack saw, and then apparently threw tires and gas cans against the vehicle.
