Palatine police responded about 9:21 p.m. Saturday to a report of criminal damage to property and a possible battery in the 1200 block of North Portage. Police received a report that a victim was driving when another vehicle pulled up. Suspects got out of their vehicle with baseball bats and began hitting the victim’s vehicle with the bats.
Police gathered evidence and photographed injuries and damage to the vehicle. The offenders were gone before police arrived.
