Wheeling police responded about 9:03 p.m. Sunday to a report that a woman was attacked in the 1400 block of Lenox Court in the Arlington Club neighborhood.
The offender was described as a male/white wearing a black hoodie and a black ski mask. Police received a report that the offender grabbed her neck, slammed her against the car, and then she maced him, or he may have maced the victim. He fled eastbound on foot.
Police set up a perimeter and a K-9 search. No word on any injuries. No word on police contact with the suspect.
