Lisa Irwin, Kidnapped 10-Month Old from Kansas City Home; No Leads, No Suspects

Police in Kansas City, Mo. say their search for 10-month old Lisa Irwin goes on, with no solid leads and no suspects. Authorities say the child was taken from her crib, possibly leaving with an intruder through an open window.

Lisa was last seen on Monday, October 3, 2011 about 10:30 p.m. when her mother put her to bed in a crib. She was noticed missing when her father, an electrician, came home from an overnight shift about 4 a.m. Tuesday and discovered an empty crib. Her father immediately called police.

Police believe the suspect entered a bedroom window and removed Lisa Irwin from her bed as she was sleeping. A neighbor reported seeing a stranger walking with a baby wearing that was wearing only a diaper about 1 a.m. in the street near the Irwin’s home.

Lisa Irwin is described as a female/white, 10-months old with blue eyes and blonde hair, 30 inches tall, 26-30 LBS. Monday night, she was wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt with white kittens on it. She is also described as having two bottom teeth, a small bug bite under her left ear, and a beauty mark on her right outer thigh. She also had a cold with a cough on Monday night.

  1. It’s hard to believe that a baby can be kidnapped from her crib like that. Has to be someone very close to the family or someone that was in the house before. Very heart breaking!
