Gurnee Police Alert Area Police of Attempted Child Abduction

UPDATE 6:47 p.m. Thursday — Gurnee police were able to contact the subjects in the case. No word on any arrests or whether the incident was verified.

Gurnee police alerted area police departments of an attempted child abduction about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Wanted for investigation are two males that occupied a gold-light-colored sedan with an Azod Driving School on the top of the vehicle. The lead offender was a male in his 40’s.

The vehicle was last seen exiting a subdivision in the area of Almond and Bridle.

A search of Google lists an Azad Driving school located in Lake County. It is unknown if the sign was misread or if offenders were using a fake sign.
