Claiming to Be Com Ed? Solicitor Complaint on South Beverly Ave

Arlington Heights police received a solicitor complaint about 3:15 p.m. in the 600 block of South Beverly Avenue. Police received a report that two male/white subjects, wearing shirts and ties, claimed they were from Com Ed, but Com Ed is not soliciting in the area.

  1. My neighborhood was overwhelmed by solicitors falsely representing themselves as “Com Ed” and asked if we would like to save 10% on your electricity. The young lady said she was with Spark Energy and flashed a copy of a Com Ed bill in a plasitc sheet. I told her to leave and she moved on.
    Just another case of solicitation in the Heights that needs to be addressed. I attempted to report this incident to Com Ed from their website but could not find a drop down menu for contact us.
