Three Vehicle Get Rear Windows Smashed Over Long July 4th Weekend.

Arlington Heights police received a report of three cases of criminal damage to vehicle from July 2, 2011 to July 4, 2011.

An unknown offender or offenders shattered the rear windshields on a 1994 Maroon Ford Explorer, a 2007 Silver Honda Pilot, and a 1997 Green Honda Prelude. No information was available regarding the replacement values for the broken windows.

The locations of the crimes were reported in the 600 block of West Happfield Dr, the 500 block of North Dryden, and the 100 Block of East Algonquin Road.

The Dryden crime may have involved shots from a pellet gun.

The crimes were reported to have occurred between Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11:40pm and Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 12:09am; between Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 11:00pm and Monday, July 4, 2011 at 7:30am and on Monday July 4, 2011 between noon and 1:30pm.

Two vehicles were also damaged in Prospect Heights on Old Willow Road between River Road and Wolf Road.
